UNNAMED TYA SHOW

This project is in very early stages; contracts will be for a four week creation period culminating in a final ‘showing'. Artists engaged in this work will be instrumental in the development of a new piece.

This project is a devised performance piece for young audiences (aged 6-12) that uses the figure of the wooly mammoth to explore the issue of extinction in the context of global climate change, without effacing the social, political, and economic asymmetries which have given rise to it. The challenge of the piece will be to make these themes accessible to younger audiences without watering them down.

*Participants will be paid a MINIMUM of $620/week; this amount may be higher as we finalize the project budget.
